Who handles your sample

The saliva collection kit is produced and shipped by ATLAS BIOLABS LIFE SC. GMBH, which also handles the return logistics, receives your sample, performs the laboratory analysis and carries out the genetic data processing that produces the analytical results.

Samples are linked to a kit code, not to your name. The laboratory works with the pseudonymised kit code.

AQVA receives the analytical results and generates your SPORTSDNA 360 report from them. AQVA does not receive or hold your physical sample.

Scope of analysis

Only the SNPs relevant to the package you purchased are analysed. No whole-genome sequencing is performed, and no analysis is carried out for disease risk, ancestry, paternity or identification purposes.

All SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) analysis offered under SPORTSDNA 360 is research-based and informational. It is not a diagnostic test, does not detect, confirm or exclude any disease or medical condition, and is not a substitute for advice from a physician or other qualified health professional.

Storage and security

Genetic results and report files are stored encrypted, in access-restricted storage, and are visible only through your authenticated account using short-lived private links. Access is limited to the small number of staff who need it to deliver the service.

No disclosure to third parties

Genetic data is never sold, rented or licensed. It is never disclosed to insurers, employers, clubs, sponsors or advertising networks. Disclosure to any third party beyond the laboratory partner occurs only if you instruct it in writing, or if we are legally compelled.

Sample and data deletion

Your sample is destroyed by the laboratory after analysis and the applicable quality-control period. You may request deletion of your genetic results and report files at any time by contacting performance@sportsdna360.com; deletion is irreversible and a deleted report cannot be reissued.

Research use

Your individual genetic data is not used for research unless you give separate, specific and freely revocable consent. Consent for research is never a condition of purchase.
